April Fool's

Tonight while was getting Clare ready for bed I received a phone call from an unknown number. FYI, for our home purchase, my mom is handling the FHA loan we are going with. The conversation went a little something like this:

Me: "Hello"

Mom: "Hey, its Mom. We need to talk. We have a problem".

Me: "What is it?"

Mom:"Well, we are going to have to figure out what we are going to do. We aren't going to be able to do the loan on the house".

Me: "What?! Why not"?

Mom: "Well, FHA has some really strict guidelines."

Me: "Uh huh".

Mom: "And apparently Paul has a warrant out for his arrest".

Me: "WHAAAT?! For what? That's not possible". All I can think is "Great, now I have to call my Dad".

Mom: "I know, I thought he was so innocent."

Me: "What for"?

Mom: "I don't know you are going to have to talk to him".

My heart is pounding. At this point I am starting to freak out and I am pretty sure pre-term labor is starting.

Then, Paul comes in the room screaming:

"APRIL FOOLS!"

Yes, it was all his idea.

From crawling to climbing...

Anyone find it odd that our daughter refuses to walk? In fact, she has skipped that step and goes from a crawl to a climb! I caught her climbing on her kid furniture just a second ago and she has been trying to climb on top of the couch!! I keep saying walking is any day away... but I have been saying that since August. That's about how long she has been walking around furniture.

Get Ready!

For some serious blogging! I finally got my own computer up and running. I also got a USB cord for my camera so I can easily get pictures and post them here right away! I used to have to wait for Paul to unload them onto our external hard drives from the MAC and it was just a mess... So, here I am and I am ready.

Solve your baby's sleep problems... Buy a diesel!

I'm not going to name the truck... unless I get a hefty compensation check from F*ord.


But my dad has one of these and we borrowed it to go pick some stuff in a storage unit about an hour away. Clare slept the entire ride there, the entire time we spent emptying the unit and putting everything in the truck, and about halfway home! I left the truck on while we were loading in and she slept through all the commotion!

Its too bad my dad isn't parting with his $50,000 truck anytime soon.

And then there were five...

No, I am not pregnant with twins.

Clare's 5th, yes, FIFTH tooth is coming in!

We're here but I know, I have been MIA for a while. Just busy, trying to keep productive. But I am not sure how that is working out for me. :o)

Some posts to come, photos and video too. Clare learned to splash the water in the tub! She's too cute to put into words. I'll work on getting some stuff up soon for those of you who are having Clare withdrawals.

It's a long shot...

But 5 minutes for mom is giving away a dyson vacuum. I thought I would give it a shot and enter the contest. I never win contests... I would vacuum 2 times a day if I owned one of these... although, I would certainly hate to see the filth it sucks out of the carpets in our apartment.

Its late, past my bedtime, and Clare is probably ready to wake up to nurse any minute now.
